What we do with your email, under Panama's Law 81 of 26 March 2019 on personal data protection.
Who processes the data
The data controller is Asistente Virtual. Salsa Bots is one of its sites, operated from Panama. For privacy requests write to ariel@asistentevirtual.com.pa.
What we collect
Your email, the newsletter language (English or Spanish), the time you consented, the version of this notice, and the subscription status: pending, confirmed, or unsubscribed. We do not ask for your name. We do not store which recipes you opened.
Why
Only to send the newsletter you asked for, and the email that confirms it. We do not sell the list. A sponsor does not receive your address.
Basis and double confirmation
The basis is your consent. The form does not send unless the box is checked. We then ask you to confirm from your own inbox. You are not on the list until you do. The confirmation link expires after 7 days.
How long
While the subscription stays active. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we stop writing. We may keep the address on a suppression list for as long as needed so we do not email you again by mistake.
Who else sees it
When the site is connected, the address is stored in Supabase and the message is sent with Resend. Those processors may handle the data outside Panama, only for this purpose. If those connections are not configured, the form stores nothing and sends nothing.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, objection, and portability, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to ariel@asistentevirtual.com.pa, or use the unsubscribe link in the email. The supervisory authority is ANTAI (Autoridad Nacional de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información).
Children
The site is not aimed at children. Do not subscribe a minor, and do not put a minor's data in any example.

Notice dated 14 October 2026. If the use of the data changes, this page is updated before the address is used for anything else.
