Difference in the cash count
What it's for You type the count and the system total, and it shows the difference, without moving money.
The prompt (copy it and paste it into your assistant)
I am going to paste what follows. You type the count and the system total, and it shows the difference, without moving money. Do not invent facts. Do not move money or give financial advice. Do not count for you. Do not close the register in the system. This is not financial advice. Answer in this order: 1. Add bills and coins apart from the system 2. Subtract and keep what is short 3. Look for that gap before you close, and if it is not there, write it as a shortage Here it is: [paste this here: Bills counted]
At close, the cash you counted is not written the same way as the system total.
How to use it
- Press Copy, or the button for the app you use.
- Paste the text into the chat.
- Write what you need, with your own details. For example:I counted 150 in bills and 12 in coins. The system says 170. I do not know where the missing 8 are.
Note: it does not move your money or replace the person who keeps the books.
You write
I counted 150 in bills and 12 in coins. The system says 170. I do not know where the missing 8 are.
You get back
Count Bills: 150 Coins: 12 Counted: 162 System: 170 Short: 8 They are not in the coins or the bills you counted. Look under the tray and for a slip that was not written down. If they do not show up, leave them as a shortage of 8. Do not fill them in.
In three steps
- Add bills and coins apart from the system.
- Subtract and keep what is short.
- Look for that gap before you close, and if it is not there, write it as a shortage.
A tip 150 plus 12 is 162, not 170. The 8 does not get rounded away.
