Hardware quote from your prices
What it's for You give your price list and the rate, and it drafts a quote and calculates the sales tax.
The prompt (copy it and paste it into your assistant)
I am going to paste what follows. You give your price list and the rate, and it drafts a quote and calculates the sales tax. Do not invent facts. Do not send quotes without your approval. Do not change your prices. Answer in this order: 1. Multiply each price by the quantity asked 2. Add cement and blocks per supplier 3. Look at the total and, if they tie, say which piece each one wins on Here it is: [paste this here: Quantities the customer asked]
Every quote is built by copying prices from a list.
How to use it
- Press Copy, or the button for the app you use.
- Paste the text into the chat.
- Write what you need, with your own details. For example:The customer wants 20 bags of cement and 50 blocks. Supplier A quoted 8 a bag and 1 a block. B quoted 7.50 a bag and 1.20 a block.
You write
The customer wants 20 bags of cement and 50 blocks. Supplier A quoted 8 a bag and 1 a block. B quoted 7.50 a bag and 1.20 a block.
You get back
For the customer: 20 bags of cement and 50 blocks Supplier A - Cement 8 a bag. 20 bags: 160. - Block 1. 50 blocks: 50. - Total A: 210. Supplier B - Cement 7.50 a bag. 20 bags: 150. - Block 1.20. 50 blocks: 60. - Total B: 210. The total is the same. A is cheaper on blocks and more expensive on cement. Choose by which one matters more to arrive right, not by the total. I did not add freight. If there is freight, add it yourself before you decide.
In three steps
- Multiply each price by the quantity asked.
- Add cement and blocks per supplier.
- Look at the total and, if they tie, say which piece each one wins on.
A tip Two equal totals are not the same quote. Look at the piece.
