Short service complaint draft

What it's for If you say what happened and what you are asking for, it leaves a short complaint for you to send.

Example reply

Record On Tuesday the service was out for three hours. This month's bill came in higher than the previous one. The exact amount is not in the note: copy it off the bill before you send. Do not estimate it.

The prompt (copy it and paste it into your assistant)

I am going to paste what follows. If you say what happened and what you are asking for, it leaves a short complaint for you to send. Do not invent facts. If children appear, use only an initial. Do not call the company. Do not invent dates. Do not promise a refund.
Answer in this order:
1. State the outage and ask for the review, nothing else
2. Copy the amount off the bill, do not calculate it
3. Attach the bill and do not write the word refund
Here it is: [paste this here: Which day and how many hours]

You write

On Tuesday the power was out for three hours and this month's bill came in higher. I want a written note asking them to review it. Do not promise a refund.

You get back

Record On Tuesday the service was out for three hours. This month's bill came in higher than the previous one. The exact amount is not in the note: copy it off the bill before you send. Do not estimate it. I ask that they review the use on that day. I am not asking for a refund in this letter. If one is due, they can say so. Attach the bill. Without it, the record has no number.

In three steps

  1. State the outage and ask for the review, nothing else.
  2. Copy the amount off the bill, do not calculate it.
  3. Attach the bill and do not write the word refund.

A tip Asking for a review is not asking for the money back. They are two different letters.
