Kitchen card
The dish lives in the cook's head, and if that person is off, everyone else is guessing.
It gives you a card for the dish, with amounts and steps, so anyone on the team can cook it even if the usual cook is off.
How to use it
- Press Copy, or the button for the app you use.
- Paste the text into the chat.
- Write what you need, with your own details. For example:Today we make chicken and rice for 8. I use 1 kilo of rice, 4 thighs, one onion, one pepper, and salt to taste. The sofrito goes first, about 8 minutes.
You write

You get back
Chicken and rice, for 8. Ingredients - 1 kg rice - 4 chicken thighs - 1 onion and 1 pepper - salt to taste Steps 1. Cook the onion and pepper about 8 minutes. 2. Add the chicken. 3. Add the rice. Before service: have the sofrito ready.
In three steps
- Describe the dish the way you would to someone covering the shift.
- Check that the amounts are the ones you actually use.
- Leave the card where the team will see it before service.
A tip. If something is to taste, leave it that way. An honest card beats a made-up number.
